Relationship Building Ride-Alongs

Instead of the traditional police ride along where citizens ride with police to understand their roles, we take police and social service providers on rides with community members. The goal is to build networks of trust and collaboration between social servants and the constituents they serve.

As of 2026,

563 officers

4,250 residents

97 community organizations

have participated.

Ride Along is part of all Cleveland Police training.

Giving Circles

Our Giving Circle is designed to launch grassroot community improvement projects initiated and led by residents of Cleveland and East Cleveland. Every quarter we bring diverse groups of people from the suburbs and the city together to share ideas, resources, talents and funds.   

As of 2026 over 860 projects have received in -kind support and over100 projects in the following categories have been funded:

Walks Through History

The Ohio Freedom Path is a free audio guide and digital map highlighting Ohio’s Underground Railroad and abolitionist history. It roughly follows the Ohio to Erie

Trail from Cincinnati through Columbus to Cleveland, with narrations of daring escapes and historic safe houses.

  • Features over 50 sites of historical significance and speeches, poems, and letters.

  • Designed for use while walking, biking, driving, or listening from home.

  • Recognized as part of the National Park Service’s Network to Freedom.

We provide role-play experiences of the challenges faced by people living in poverty.  These experiences foster greater understanding about poverty and systemic racism.
